This is my 2nd purchase of a beautiful hand crafted walking stick/cane from Art Walking Sticks. It is both functional and beautiful. If I have to carry a cane, it’s absolutely going to be one of these!
My Dad loves the walking cane we got him for Christmas. He gets compliments on it when he uses it around town. I recommend for anyone that needs a cane to help get around. It does the job in a stylish fashion without making one fell old for needing a cane.
I chose this cane because it was beautiful and I believe that if you need to use a cane, you should make a statement with it. Carrying this one definitely makes a statement! It is greatly admired by all who see it.
This cane is very lightweight and I hope it proves durable with time
Well made, lightweight yet sturdy cane, Like the phoenix of the cane I am arising from the ashed=s of cascading organ failures that left me unable to move without aid. Standing,, walking was a memory that I should consider a fantasy for my future. But I arose from the ashes of the past and walk with this cane.
I really like this cane. It is sturdy and doesn't have that hospital look.
Upon arrival I fell in love and even took a picture and sent it to friends immediately bragging about my new cane. I needed it because I have had multiple back surgeries and just underwent a hip and back surgery and it was so much better than a walker. I actually inquired how to leave a review as I wanted to leave rave reviews for the product. I had even paid for expedited shipping so I didn't have to wait so long. Then after only 3 days of use the head started to become loose. I chatted with them on facebook and the they gave me 3 options. The first was to pay for the defective can to be sent back and they would pay for a new one to be sent to me (I had to pay for the defective one to be returned). I needed the cane now and I was not going to wait the many weeks that this would take nor was I willing to pay for an item, that was defective after 3 days, to be returned especially when i payed around 50 dollars for expedition. My second option was that they would send me a new one at half off...I mean really??? This can was useless at their fault and the more I am writing them more I am wondering why I am giving them a 3...I guess because I do love the workmanship so much. The third option was to wait for it to completely fall off and glue it back on myself. Well the third happened unintentionally. I was walking down the stairs and the handle slightly cracked and the handle completely came off as the shaft fell down the stair with me almost following. The conversation seemed to have a rude tone as well I was told that the carved canes needed extra care...which I replied "after 3 days of use?" and said that I felt like they were implying this was my fault. He claimed he wasn't and said he put a ticket in for production and that was it....very short. I have no idea what that means as there was no conversation after that. So fast forward to me trying to repair it...I used epoxy for the strongest hold and it is still setting up and I am waiting a full 24hrs so not sure how it is but when I grabbed my exacto knife knife set to carefully remove the the old glue I was very surprised as there was hardly any glue. There was glue in one area probably covering about 10% of the inserted wood....no wonder it came loose. Conclusion is that I can't get past how much i love the workmanship but the assembly was horribly as well as the customer service.
