In design of our new walking cane we used world color tendencies. It’s a brand new year, and for us that means a whole new year’s worth of fashion trends to follow! If you’re looking for ways to update your outfits with pieces that you’ll be able to wear for a long time, Pantone’s color of the year for 2020 could be a helpful source of inspiration. 

Since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute has declared a particular color "Color of the Year". Twice a year the company hosts, in a European capital, a secret meeting of representatives from various nations' color standards groups. After two days of presentations and debate, they choose a color for the following year; for example, the color for summer 2013 was chosen in London in the spring of 2012. The results of the meeting are published in Pantone View, which fashion designers, florists, and many other consumer-oriented companies purchase to help guide their designs and planning for future products. 2016 has been the only year so far with 2 or more colors.

There’s going to be a lot of blue around us this year, especially in fashion. So it’s time to start thinking about readjusting your wardrobe to incorporate the subtle, yet powerful everyday blue into your outfits in 2020.

Classic Blue was selected for its “timeless and enduring hue elegant in its simplicity,” according to Pantone. It’s similar to the sky at dusk with qualities that make it versatile, yet thought-provoking as well.
